Resumen: Traducido en diferentes países como En busca del valle encantado o La tierra antes del tiempo, es un conjunto de películas todas ellas de animación, destinadas a un público infantil. Los personajes de la franquicia son crías de dinosaurios que viven diferentes aventuras durante la era de los dinosaurios. Esta franquicia comenzó gracias al éxito que obtuvo en 1988 la película de mismo título, dirigida por Don Bluth y producida por Steven Spielberg y George Lucas. Hasta la fecha se han producido catorce secuelas concebidas directamente para vídeo.
